Comfort + Style

Run big
These sneakers run big. I’m size 7 in women’s. I ordered the men’s size 6 as in reviews they said women’s are a size smaller. Well, the men’s size 6 were humongous. I had to return them. By trial and error, I ended up keeping the Big boys 5-1/2. Those fit great! They are a little stiff at the beginning, but wore them around the house for a couple of hours to soften it.

Iconic shoe, but better for casual wear than competitive indoor soccer
The Adidas Samba is an iconic shoe, and the indoor version continues that legacy with its blend of classic style and practical performance. It is one of the very few shoes that still use genuine leather, which has its pros and cons as listed below (main con is stiffness and heat).Pros:- Classic Style: The instantly recognizable design is timeless, looking great on and off the court.- Excellent Grip: The gum rubber outsole provides solid traction on indoor surfaces.- Durable Build: The leather upper and suede overlays are well-constructed, holding up well to regular use.- Versatile: While designed for indoor soccer, many also use them as stylish casual wear or as general court shoes.Cons:- Comfort/Break-in Period: The leather is stiff initially and requires a lot of wear to become comfortable.- Limited Arch Support: It doesn’t offer significant arch support, which might be a concern for some users.- Performance: The stiffness and shape of the shoe make them more of a casual shoe than a performance soccer shoe, and the sole can wear down quickly if used outdoors on concrete courts.- Ventilation: Given the leather upper, your feet can get quite hot in the summer.Overall, it’s not a bad indoor show performance-wise, but there are others that are cheaper and will perform better if that’s your main concern. But if you’re looking for more of a stylish casual shoe with a rich heritage, the Adidas Samba should be on your short list.

Some differences from my older same model shoe for some reason..
I bought black versions many (oh so may) years ago and wanted white ones for my wide leg pants. Differences were the flap was longer, the shoe ran bigger (even though I bought it in the same size) – didn’t know how to deal with the awkwardly longer flap other than fold it under. Slightly bigger shoe was not a big deal but still same physical size would have been nice.All in all, kept the shoe as it was the same comfort and still looked good.

If you have wide feet, know that it will take a while to break these in. Once you have, these are great. Very stylish.
