My son plays goalie in U8 competitive soccer. He LOVES this shirt. It’s good quality and has lasted several months so far. Nice padding around the arms and belly without interfering with movement.

Baggy in the arms, tight in the chest
So this worked for my Goalkeeper, but my player is 8 years old and very petite / thin. The arms are very baggy, not as much the length (they are a little long, but with goalie gloves it won’t matter) but actually the width of the arms especially in relation to the body section. That was “almost” too tight and confirms what others said about the sizing being a bit odd. I would only be concerned if your child is not thin – and I mean ribs, muscles show with shirt off thin. The material itself is very thin which is okay since it’s often worn over the game jersey. The padding is adequate and perfectly placed in the arms. I liked the fact that the chest was padded, but it’s really more sternum to midsection, but I could tell he felt it would provide some added protection, resulting in confidence.

Perfect for my 8 year old goalie!
Great quality, perfect fit, comfortable. My son isn’t tugging at his arms to bring the sleeves up like he was in his other shirt. Perfect fit for him. He is 8 years old and typically wears a youth medium clothing.

Durable and Color Fast
I bought this for my 8-year-old to play in Spring and Fall rec soccer. It was big for him, but not so big that he looked ridiculous or the shirt was unusable. It’s been one year and the shirt is still as sturdy as when I bought it. The stitches are still solid, too. It’s easily washable with other clothes and it’s still the same bright yellow as when we bought it. My son says it’s comfortable, but hot. And the padding is good for his level

Arms were a little short
My daughter is 10 (almost 11) and thin – about 70 pounds. I bought the XXS/YM based on the chest measurements. The overall body fit was good, but I found the arms to be a bit short. Since her goalie gloves cover her wrists, it seems ok though. I would have reordered a size up, but I worried though that the next size up might be too big in the neck/body and she needs to be able to use the shirt ASAP.

Well made, comfortable pads on elbows. My son is 12, 5-1 and around 140, and the M fits him nicely (little roomy for movement.) Looks like a high-quality jersey.

Affordable Jersey
This is the second time I purchased this jersey. It’s affordable. Shirt has silky feel and nice padding on chest and forearms. The only issue is the threads at the bottom edge of the shirt start unraveling on their own after a few washes. Everywhere else seems to hold up well.
